This lady, as a child, lacked innocence and was never tend to grow into a responsible adult. It's amusing how people justify her recklessness because she was underage when she was married off to an older man. Some young women in the North, where they even practise the culture of marrying off their young daughters, are reluctant to marry, which sometimes leads to domestic violence between fathers and their young girls. Some girls aged 12 or 13 in the North even attempt to escape. In this case, nobody is better or worse than the other. Just because 18 is declared the age of consent or maturity doesn't mean a 15, 16, or 17-year-old is silly, nor does it excuse reckless behaviour. Clearly, she wouldn't have fared better herself if she hadn't been made to do the things she claims were imposed on her. I was once a 10, 11, 12, or 17-year-old, and I understand the basic behavioural capacity at that age. A typical 15-year-old would not feel as comfortable in that marriage as she did; a normal 15-year-old would not feel on top of the world so early on, even to the point of mocking others on a national issue and doing all sorts of things to show that other young ladies were missing out.
She colluded with her mom for them to bypass her father, she's simply an improved version of her mom, some younger people have said no to their dad or mom for the right course.
For Nigerians to okay this s**t from the start simply means culture na scam, na game of convenience we dey play.
I wish people could just let them all face their battles, learn if they are willing, or peacefully be destroyed if they must
