FORGIVE AND FORGET
Text: Matthew 6:14-15; Matthew: 18:23-35
"FORGIVENESS" In the simplest term, means "to let go."
Before the word FORGIVENESS could come up, that means there have been an offended person or party.
That is to say, somebody has been cheated, oppressed, offended or treated unfairly.
However, offence is inevitable, Why, because everyone expects full attention; want respect or regard. And if all these are not forthcoming from the other party; then anger sets in.
Although, it is not a sin to get angry, but it becomes a sin when you allow the anger to take over you. And that may lead to unforgivingness.
UNFORGIVINGNESS, is like a wound; if you leave it without medical care or treatment, it degenerates, but if well taken care of the wound heals up.
CONSEQUENCESS OF UNFORGIVINGNESS.
*It withholds your blessings.
*It attracts God's anger to you.
*It hinders the answers to your prayers.
BENEFITS OF FORGIVENESS.
*It stabilizes your blood pressure.
*It helps to draw you closer to God.
*It opens every closed doors of favour.
