Thank you Education Awards for your recognition of our contribution to education and training in Nigeria.
We are spurred to do more.

During the course of the week, we were excited to embark on a CSR/Community Development Initiative to train some secondary schools' teachers on "Strategic Solutions to Students' Academic Challenges" in their schools. The sessions were deeply strategic, practical, expository and engaging.

The participants became fully equipped and prepared to address their students' academic needs and meet the expectations of their schools/employers, parents/guardians and other stakeholders.

To ensure impactful application of the skills acquired, we will remain connected with them to provide post-training support - every step of the way in the new academic session.

We will continue in our corporate efforts to ensure more teachers are competently trained and confidently prepared and equipped to help students overcome challenges and achieve academic excellence.

On Monday, we kicked off our Training Programme on "Strategic Approach to Address and Prevent Students' Academic Challenges" at one of the best schools in Lagos - Wellspring College, Omole Phase 2, Lagos State.

Today, we took it to another amazing school - Kesbe International School, Near PUNCH Place, Magboro, Ogun State.

As we move to cover more grounds, it's been awesome to have shared an innovative, problem-solving idea with over 80 teachers, in our corporate and social efforts to address students' academic challenges in Nigeria.

As part of our corporate social efforts, and to meet our core corporate and social objectives, we will soon kick off a campaign to discourage the use of punishments, threats, and other casual methods, applied by teachers, parents and guardians on students/pupils with academic challenges or applied to compel satisfactory academic performances in them. These old traditional methods have been proven to be ineffective or counterproductive, hence the need for a strategic approach.

We shall also launch our Teachers' Training Initiative (TTI), designed to train primary and secondary schools teachers on "Strategic Approach to Address and Prevent Students' Academic challenges."

Apart from addressing the concern over poor performances recorded in schools and in public examinations in Nigeria, the two aforementioned programmes also have a universal interest to compliment the efforts of the United Nations SDGs on inclusive education and teachers training, as provided in Goals 4.7 and 4.c. However, our main interest will remain in Nigeria, as it was part of the countries in sub-Sahara Africa rated low (especially on teachers' training) in the 2017 SDGs report.

More details will be released as soon as all arrangements and modalities are perfected for the take-off; hopefully before the 2018 Summer.
