One question kept coming up repeatedly in my ghostwriting business.⁣

After delivering a manuscript to a client, they would read it, smile, and say, "Ronke, this is beautifully written. Now, who do you recommend to publish it?"⁣

In the beginning, I simply referred them to publishers I found online.⁣

Unfortunately, that did not always end well.⁣

Some clients returned disappointed. The quality of the finished books was poor. Communication was frustrating. Projects that should have taken a few weeks dragged on for months without any clear explanation.⁣

To be fair, I also came across some excellent publishers whose work was impressive.⁣

The challenge was that their services were often beyond the reach of many first-time authors.⁣

In many cases, these publishing companies did not own printing presses. So, they outsourced the printing to another company, which meant there were multiple layers between the author and the actual printer. ⁣

By the time everyone added their profit margin, the final cost became too expensive for many aspiring authors.⁣

What pained me most was watching talented people abandon their dreams of becoming published authors.⁣

This is not because they lacked good ideas or determination. They simply became discouraged by a process that felt unnecessarily complicated and expensive.⁣

The more I encountered this problem, the more I realised it was not an isolated issue. It was a gap.⁣

I realized that authors needed more than a ghostwriter. They needed someone who understood the entire journey.⁣

Someone who could help them move from an idea in their head to a finished book in their hands.⁣

Someone who understood writing, editing, formatting, publishing, and the realities of the industry.⁣

That realisation was what led me to start my publishing company, which I registered with Corporate Affairs Commission last year.⁣

The goal was never to add another title to my profile. It was to solve a problem.⁣

I wanted to make the publishing process simpler, more transparent and accessible for the people I was already serving.⁣

Listen to me, dear friend. Many business opportunities are hidden inside recurring complaints.⁣

When the same problem keeps appearing in front of you, pay attention.⁣

When people keep coming to you for help in a particular area, pay attention.⁣

When you find yourself saying, "Someone really needs to fix this," it may be worth asking whether you are the person who should.⁣

Sometimes, the opportunity you are searching for is disguised as a problem that refuses to go away.⁣

Now, let me ask you a question.⁣

What problem have people been consistently bringing to your doorstep? Could it be pointing you toward your next opportunity?⁣

Think about it and do the needful, dear friend.⁣
