I recently had the opportunity to work on a semi-detached residential development commissioned by a client with a clear vision and defined objectives.
My role was to handle the full architectural design of the project. After presenting and agreeing on the initial concept, the client later requested some strategic adjustments to optimize the design in response to economic considerations and spatial efficiency.
We carefully reviewed the layout, refined the design, and implemented practical modifications without compromising functionality, comfort, or aesthetic value. The collaborative process ensured that the project remained aligned with both budget realities and the client’s long-term goals.
The final outcome is a thoughtfully planned semi-detached development featuring:
A 4-bedroom duplex at the front, designed as the owner’s residence
Two 2-bedroom rental apartments at the rear (2 units), positioned to maximize space utilization and investment returns
This project highlights the importance of flexibility in design, client collaboration, and the ability to balance cost-efficiency with quality delivery.
