Today, we proudly celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day at Owerri Girls Secondary School as we continue the fight against period poverty and menstrual stigma. 💜🩸
Our outreach today will focus on:
🌸 Distribution of sanitary pads
🌸 Open conversations on menstrual health and hygiene
🌸 Creating awareness on period poverty and dignity
🌸 Setting up Pad Banks to support girls in need
🌸 Encouraging confidence, education, and empowerment for every girl
Menstruation is natural, and no girl should miss school, feel ashamed, or be disadvantaged because of her period. Together, we are creating safe spaces where girls can learn, speak freely, and access the support they deserve.
This is more than an outreach — it is a movement for dignity, equity, and empowerment.
