A Female Teacher Rescued from Kidnappers at Eputu,
Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos

*SECURITY UPDATE: TEACHERS BE VIGILANT AND PRAYERFUL*

If a teacher can be EASILY KIDNAPPED in BROAD DAY,what will now be the fate of the students and pupils in this country?

The attention of the Branch Executive members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers ibeju-lekki was called to an almost successful *ATTEMPTED KIDNAP* of one of our teachers (name withheld) precisely in Community Primary School Eputu.

Despite the successful intervention of the Nigerian Union of Teachers ibeju-lekki, and intelligent approach of the chairman on the matter, it is important to intimate our members on situation of things and the new kidnap trick used by these agents of darkness in our working environments.

As gathered, the teacher finished her work for the day and treked to her bus-stop to catch the next available cab home.

She was with one of her daughters (age range 12+14) who seem to be waiting to be transfered to her new school after relocating to further her education.

At the Bus-Stop, Eputu bus stop precisely, while standing and hoping to get a cab.

A strange woman suddenly held her in her in her arm, from that spot, she became unconscious and continued to follow the strange woman.

The daughter with her being curious and bewildered she was surprised at the event wondering why her mother suddenly go numb, she continued to follow her mom with this strange person and continued to call her mommy to come back, all effort to get her mom's attention prove abortive, then she started dragging and hitting her mom telling her "mommy why are you following this woman"
She continued dragging till eventually, the mother regained her consciousness and shokingly asked the woman "who are you? Why are you holding my arms" the strange woman confusingly knowing things might get messy started begging her and telling her not to shout or cause drama, but the mother being curious caused stare and shouted to draw the attention of people around, seeing that the situation was about to get out of hand, the kidnaper (strange woman) took to her heels and started running, from there people in that environment discovered that she was really up to something .

They ran after her and eventually caught up with her.

After several beatings and maltreatments and decision by the mob to use jungle justice. she confessed. Among her confession was that:

🚩They are many in the business in that axis and they have their headquarters where they use to take their victim.

🚩She has successfully kidnapped 51 people in this axis
🚩She and some other members are from Ibadan.

🚩They get paid for doing the job only, she's not aware what they use their victim for
🚩They use charm and incantations to get their victims unconscious before finally taking them into a car to move them away.

She confessed all these before the arrival of the police.

Then she was handed over to the police to allow them further their investigation (Elemoro Police Headquarters).

My advice to you my distinguished Members of staff, your welfare is Paramount to the existence of the union, please:
👍Try to walk in twos or group to the part.
👍Create rapport with the members of your community, let them know who you are in that community.
👍Always let people know your movement, if not everyone but one important person.
👍Be vigilant and avoid body contacts with strangers at all cost.
👍 Above all, be prayerfullll!!!
