For everyone who has been asking what a 3D laser scan actually produces, here it is.
This is a 3D model of a 4 bedroom duplex in Chevyview Estate, created entirely from a laser scan of the physical building. Every room, every wall, every level of the property captured digitally and delivered as a detailed 3D model with full 2D floor plans.
This kind of deliverable is what architects work from for renovation design, what facility managers use for space planning, and what property owners need when original drawings no longer exist or cannot be trusted.
Full delivery from scan to model to 2D plans starts at approximately β¦1,500,000, depending on property size and number of stories.

Before the vessel leaves the jetty at the Ministry of Blue Economy, Victoria Island, the real work has already begun.
Focamark Geospatial setting up the multibeam echosounder system for a bathymetric survey departure. Transducer mounted and aligned. Motion reference unit calibrated. Sound velocity profile acquired for the water column conditions on the day. Full system check completed before a single metre of survey line is run.
This is the part nobody photographs but everyone depends on. The setup that determines whether the data coming back from the water is accurate, clean, and defensible, or expensive to fix in post-processing.
We photograph it anyway. Because the process matters as much as the output.

Multibeam echo sounder survey completed at Clover Jetty, Takwa Bay, Lagos.
Unlike single beam systems that measure depth along a single vertical line beneath the vessel, multibeam technology sweeps the entire seafloor width simultaneously, producing a dense, continuous, and highly accurate bathymetric model of the full survey corridor in a single pass.
At Clover Jetty, this means complete underkeel clearance mapping, precise dredging volume calculations, and a detailed seafloor chart that captures every feature, depression, and anomaly across the full extent of the survey area.
For port operators, marine engineers, and waterfront developers making decisions about this corridor, the data coming out of an MBES survey is not just useful. It is essential.

The client said 'just sketch it out.' We showed up with a laser scanner instead.
They needed as-built dimensions of a building they were about to renovate. The usual way? A tape measure, a clipboard, and a lot of patience.
We set up our scanner. Within the hour, we had 47 million points representing every corner, column, and curve of that structure.
Their architect called it the most complete drawing package they'd ever received.
That's what happens when you stop sketching and start scanning.
Save this post. Share it with someone still using a tape measure on complex buildings.

Where Lagos meets the Atlantic, the data goes underwater. ππ΄
We carried out a bathymetric survey at Kuramo Waters, adjacent to Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island β mapping the underwater terrain, water depth profiles, and lagoon bed geometry of one of Lagosβ most strategically significant waterfront locations.
Bathymetric surveying at a site like Kuramo Waters isnβt routine fieldwork. Itβs high-stakes spatial intelligence. Sonar transducers sweep the water column, recording depth measurements across the survey corridor and building a precise subsurface terrain model that informs dredging operations, marine infrastructure design, coastal engineering decisions, and waterfront development planning.
In the shadow of Eko Atlantic, every data point counts. ππ
