An Energy Distribution company in Nigeria is looking to employ the services of a Database Administrator. Database administrator will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the organisation's databases.

Minimum Qualification - Degree
Experience Level - Medium
Experience Length - 2 years

Typical tasks will include:
* Database design and creation.
* Updating and amending existing databases
* Database performance optimisation,
* Database replication, restoration, backup and synchronization
* Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
* Monitoring database efficiency
* Database Confidentiality
* Sustaining the security and integrity of data
* Creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted
* Training colleagues in how to input and extract data

Required skills
* Proven work experience as a Database developer
* Deep understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)
* Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
* Hands-on experience with Structure Query Language (SQL)
* Familiarity working Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle
* Excellent analytical and organization skills
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Good Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) services will be an added advantage
