RANDOM 02 : ELEMENTARY WAY

I believe the art of learning should be an essential every fashion tutor or any educational based establishment should incorporate into its curriculum and also figure out how every student adapts or adjust to learning cos Omor in the earn , no two persons can learn in the same style .
Back in uni, in those days where I would be revising for exams along side Macy Oyoita Effanga. The one and only way I could clear comprehend was write out in my own words all the grammar in the notes or textbook then inturn Macy will ask questions or I explain each topic to her .
Chim !!!! Now my head do knock from book , na inches and shoulder tightening full my head.

Coming to fashion , over time I realized that the only best way I could learn and work a new found pattern was approaching it as a child in elementary school. Cry right ? But it helps me figure out the most complex things in simple terms .

In recent times I have tried some new improved techniques and being able to break them down to simple chorus even helps me to remember the inches allocation and creates a sequence of how it’s done in my brain .Now thats understanding!!! Not craming .

Like this , I just Dey finish class work before writing this post .
See me singing “ small bust 2.5 big bust 3” sounds childish right ?? but you see those rhymes, they can never leave my head again .

So next time you see some trying to learn something new , be patient with them and DONT talk down their approach to comprehension.

Knowledge is not enough, seek mastery …

Mistakes most times are not just not lack of expertise in a field but rather I have over time come to see it as the non mastery as the lack of clear understanding of a jobs rhythm and flow. Calm down I’ll explain
Till you subconsciously know what to do every step of a project , it is safe to say that need more grounding for efficiency.
Imagine trying to draft a bustier and yet you subconsciously DONT know that immediately you are done with your basic block , that you are suppose to proceed to your bust dart closure and under bust tightening to achieve contour. The process may look plenty but mastery makes it seamless.
There was a time , I was interning for a brand in Calabar where my sewing journey started and this lady gave me some outfits to make for her and I was happy .
Children of God guess what ??
I had to loosen a full bustier base and and resew all over again, not because I Cudnt sew a bustier , but because I lacked the mastery of a seamless flow of process which is usually the dynamics of a good result .
There is no rocket science approach to excellence.
It’s ok to learn from your mistakes , but it is more smarter to learn from other people’s mistakes and try to avoid it repeating itself in you.
Wealth and titles is good , but in a world where everyone wants to be CEO of XYZ, I have just one counsel for you
BEFORE YOU SEEK WEALTH AND FIRM, seek MASTERY.

You will be of all persons most miserable if opportunity comes knocking and meets you not equipped for it or without capacity.
