The man spraying me money is my Dad's former nwa boi. Bros ND

He served my Dad for about 7 years or so before he was settled and he went on to start his business and doing very well for himself.

This was over 27 years ago, I was very little when he started living with us and he witnessed the birth of some of my younger ones.
Three of his kids are undergraduates, that will tell you that it's been a long time ago.

He left my Dad and became an Oga himself but the relationship never died.

At the hospital when my Dad's condition became worse, my mum and brother started making calls to some members of the family to let them know what we were dealing with. Mum also called Bros ND "Your Oga has been in the hospital for some time oo, the matter is getting serious. I don't know again..." My mum lamented on the phone.

He came immediately. My mum said when he came, for a long period of time, he couldn't say anything. Seeing Dad's condition moved him into speechlessness. Sickness sha, I pour you spit.
When he left, he sent mummy some money, to add to what we have. He kept checking in daily.

Daddy passed few days later. Bros ND was on ground. Him and my brother in law helped my brother with making all the arrangements regarding moving the co**se to the morgue and all.

When I got home and told them that I want to see my Dad, he was the one that drove me, my bro and Sis to the morgue. I can never forget that day in my life.

Throughout the whole burial preparations, he was fully present. He will always call to ask me if there is any issue, if there is anything I want him to help with.

He was the one that encouraged me to create a WhatsApp platform and add my Dad's friends and business associates, he also added the ones that he has their phone numbers. And yeah, we raised a good amount of money from there.

He reached out to other Nwa boys of my Dad. Even the one that served my Dad when I was a baby and I didn't know him. The financial support from them went a longggg way to what we did.

I remember that day we went to the morgue to see Dad, he said to him "Boss! I call you Boss because you were a good man and I looked up to you..." I immediately remembered the time I was little and was hearing the people living in our house call my Dad "Boss" and I naturally assumed that was my Dad's real name 😂.

Till tomorrow, I will remain grateful to him for the support and most especially for his presence during our grieving time. He didn't have to, after all he is not a family member. I mean, this man is from Abia state and we're from Anambra but he stuck with us more than most family members.

My Mum will always tell his wife whenever she complains about him that he was our best Nwa boi 😂😂. His wife will always come to report him to my mum because he listens to my mum well.

What he did for us this period has proven to us that this is a life long relationship. I'm hoping to pay forward his kindness to us during our most difficult time, even if not directly to him, his kids.

My father was good to him, he is good to us, we will surely be good to him and kids some day. The cycle continues.

Ihe oma di mma!
