It's quite funny š how people unintentionally make mistakes with word pronunciations, and sometimes even the actual words.
And when I say people, I mean adults, not kids.
*Note: Iām one of these people* š¤«š¤.
I mean, kids are believed to be young, so it's quite understandable when they make these mistakes.
For instance, my little cousin š© was trying to say the word "PERMANENT," but she'd say "PERMAMENT" š¤£. When I tried teaching her to say it properly, she said "PERMALENT" š¤£. It wasn't easy.
The popular sound "gwo gwo gwo ngwo" (hope I spelled that correctly) is actually "bo bo bo bo" š¤£š¤£. I mean, she's a kid, so it's quite understandable.
Now, imagine finding out that I always call a trumpet šŗ a piano š¹.
"What!!!" š³š Yep, Iām pretty sure you just thought that in your head right now, but it's true!
Now, I need you to know that I do know it's a piano, but "trumpet" just pops out of my mouth every time, and I don't even realize I said it until I'm corrected.
And oh yeah š, Iām not done giving examples.
My mum always calls "lyrics" "rylics," and Iām pretty sure it's the same issue š as mine because she knows the word.
I could go on and on with instances of people close to me, but I won't š¤©š¤©š¤©. These examples are enough!
The bone of contention is: can anything be done about this?
And let me know about any word mistake you make in the comments. ā¤ā¤ā¤
