Relationship aren’t always going to be 100/100, and neither will it be 50/50. Thumbs down 👎 to whoever came up with that metrics! There will be some days your partner can’t give you 100% and on those days(weeks, months, or years), you might have to be the one giving 90% while your partner gives 10% or nothing at all(0%). You need to think about this, is this something you are willing to do?

Maybe you would, but not just the person you are with. That’s why I stated that you choose wisely. And a lot of times you don’t know what you would do until you have to. Sometimes you don’t know your strength until you have to be strong. This is why you have to prepare your mind for the “ What Ifs”.

Marriage can’t be selfish because it is a PARTNERSHIP. If you want to be selfish, independent and keep things separate then I think you should just stay SINGLE! Life happens. An injury, an accident, sickness, underlying mental health issues, better and worse etc Are you prepared for life that may require you to push through someone else’s pain? I guess that’s the scary part about marriage - the unknown…

But this is also why I am doing the work to love myself , understand who i am and be intentional on choosing the right man(because although the Bible says “he that findeth a wife”…” I can choose to be chosen because every guy that finds you might not be the one). Your current season is for growth and preparing for the next - unless you want to stay in this season.

So choose wisely and choose informed . Don’t let looks, deeds and words blind you.

Naturally, Males have a big ego. This is the reason they desire RESPECT more than anything from Females. Yes we know and agree…

However, sometimes men need to rise up to occasion if they are wrong. Do not allow ego to destroy your relationship.

If you are wrong, instead of defending your wrong; ADMIT your wrong and apologize to her. It doesn't make you lesser a man, instead it makes you more of a Man over other men…

Something simple like:

"Hey Hun, I know I wronged you and if I were in your shoes now, I'll be furious too. I'm really sorry. Forgive me."

Or

"Hey babe, I know I fu**ed up. I shouldn't have acted that way. I'm sorry Babe"

This simple attitude of admitting when you are wrong and apologizing can save you a lot of friendships amazing relationships with the opposite gender.
