On May 12, the town of Ikoyi Osun will not only celebrate a birthday, it will celebrate a testimony. A story of grace, struggle, persistence, and victory.
Born in the humble environment of Asalu Compound, Libery Area, Ikoyi Osun, many people never imagined that the little boy from a poor background would one day become a voice that the whole community would hear through the airwaves.
Life was not easy.
There were days of hunger. Days of rejection. Days when survival itself looked like a full-time job.
While other children were playing, he was standing on the express road under the hot sun, carrying sachets of pure water on his head, shouting to passengers and drivers just to make enough money to survive and pursue education.
He sold pure water not because he loved the stress, but because he loved his future.
Every sachet he sold was another step toward destiny. Every sweat on the roadside became a seed for greatness.
With determination and self-belief, he struggled through primary school. Nobody sponsored him fully. He fought for his education with courage. From the dusty streets of Ikoyi Osun to the university halls, he carried one dream in his heart — “One day, my story will change.”
And God honored the struggle.
Years later, the same boy who once chased vehicles to sell pure water became the CEO of Authority FM — the first radio broadcasting station making powerful impact across Isokan Local Government and Irewole Local Government.
Today, his voice inspires people. His station informs communities. His journey gives hope to struggling youths.
He is living proof that poverty is not a life sentence. Background does not determine destiny. And suffering today does not cancel greatness tomorrow.
To every young boy selling on the roadside… To every girl struggling to pay school fees… To everyone mocked because of humble beginnings…
Remember this story: The road may be rough, but greatness can still rise from the dust.
Happy Birthday to a fighter. Happy Birthday to a destiny carrier. Happy Birthday to the CEO of Authority FM Ikoyi Osun.
May 12 is not just your birthday — It is the celebration of grace, resilience, and uncommon elevation.

Prophet Dr. Oluwadamilare Akano OBA Authority was not born with silver spoon. He was born into a poor family at Asalu Compound, Libery Area, Ikoyi Osun, where survival itself was a daily struggle.
As a young boy, life taught him responsibility very early.
While many children depended fully on their parents, Oluwadamilare Akano fought for his own future with sweat, determination, and faith in God. He started by selling ice water under the hot sun on the roadside. From ice water, he moved to selling pure water, then lemon drinks, and later became an “Alabaru” — carrying heavy loads for bus conductors and passengers just to make little money.
Sometimes he would run after buses at motor parks. Sometimes he would carry loads bigger than his age. Sometimes hunger became his closest friend.
But inside that struggling boy was a dream nobody could see.
Every bottle of water he sold… Every load he carried… Every insult he endured… Was preparing him for a greater future.
He used the little money he gathered by himself to start and continue his primary education. Through hardship and perseverance, he later pushed himself into the university. It was not easy, but he refused to surrender to poverty.
People saw a poor boy from Asalu Compound. God saw a future leader.
Years later, destiny changed the story.
That same young boy who once struggled at motor parks became the CEO of Authority FM — the first radio broadcasting station making history across Isokan Local Government and Irewole Local Government.
Today, his voice reaches homes. His platform informs communities. His journey inspires thousands of young people who think their background can stop them. Prophet Dr. Oluwadamilare Akano OBA Authority became a symbol of resilience, hope, and grace.
His life now speaks loudly: Never laugh at a struggling child. Never mock humble beginnings. Because today’s water seller can become tomorrow’s leader.
From carrying loads at bus parks… To carrying the voice of a whole community through radio broadcasting…
This is not just success. This is destiny fulfilled.
As May 12 approaches, the people of Ikoyi Osun and beyond celebrate not just a birthday, but a testimony of perseverance, struggle, favor, and victory.
Happy Birthday to a fighter. Happy Birthday to a destiny carrier. Happy Birthday to Prophet Dr. Oluwadamilare Akano OBA Authority.
May your story continue to inspire generations yet unborn.

In every community, there are four kinds of people: The Watchers, The Talkers, The Helpers, and The Blamers.
The Watchers see the problem but keep quiet.
The Talkers discuss the problem but never act.
The Helpers step forward to solve it.
Then the Blamers arrive later asking why nothing was done.
When the roof is leaking, everyone points at the rain, but very few climb the ladder to fix the roof.
Life teaches us this: Problems don’t disappear because people talk about them. They disappear when somebody decides to act.
Too many people want miracles, but few want responsibility.
