“The only way to win a GRAMMY Award is through votes from members of the Recording Academy. To become a member, you must be a music professional working in the United States or a few other eligible countries.

Once you’re a member, all submitted music is listened to and evaluated strictly on quality and content. The GRAMMYs do not consider streams, fan base, or social media following.

The process is purely opinion-based, which makes it very subjective. There is no interference from record labels, journalists, or social media. It’s simply music professionals voting for their peers—and we’ve been doing it this way for 66 years. Period.”
