DIGITAL BRIDGE INSTITUTE SEEKS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES RESETTLEMENT CENTER

In a move aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration and advancing professional training, the Head of Training, Lagos Campus of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Mr. Akin Ogunlade, on 11 March 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ignatius Ilo.

Mr. Ogunlade, who was accompanied by the Team Lead, Ms. Geraldine Essien, and other members of the campus management team, explained that the visit was intended to deepen cooperation between both institutions in the areas of digital education, research, and capacity development. He noted that collaboration with NAFRC would foster knowledge exchange and create opportunities for joint training initiatives that would enhance human capital development.

Responding on behalf of the Commandant, Major AO General Oyelade welcomed the delegation and commended DBI for its contributions to technological training and national development. He reaffirmed NAFRC’s commitment to partnering with reputable institutions to like DBI strengthen its training programmes and expand opportunities for personnel undergoing resettlement and professional development expressing optimism for a mutually beneficial partnership among both institutions.

WORLD METEOROLOGICAL ORGANISATION REGIONAL TRAINING CENTRE SEEKS ENHANCED INSTITUTONAL PARTERSHIP WITH NAFRC

The Director World Meteorological Organization Regional Training Centre, (WMORTC) Professor Peter Ojugo on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ignatius Ilo, at the Centre’s Headquarters to strengthen institutional collaboration and partnership.

The delegation, led by the Head of Training School, Mr Aremu AO, who represented the Director, stated that the visit was aimed at fostering mutual cooperation in areas of research, professional training, and capacity development. He emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing meteorological education, promoting professional excellence and encouraging knowledge exchange through joint training initiatives and technical cooperation.

In his response, AVM Nnaemeka Ilo warmly received the team and commended WMORTC for its contributions to meteorological research and global scientific advancement. He highlighted the importance of meteorology in national planning, environmental sustainability, disaster risk reduction, and security operations, while reaffirming NAFRC’s readiness to collaborate with reputable institutions to enhance its training programmes and broaden opportunities for personnel.

NAFRCOWA PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO NAFRC COMMANDANT, SEEKS SUPPORT

The Coordinator of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre Wives Association (NAFRCOWA), Mrs Chizitalu Vivian Ilo, represented by the Acting Coordinator, Mrs Bavoshia Beryo, on 26 February 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, Air Vice Marshal NI Ilo. The visit was to congratulate him on his recent appointment, commend his efforts in enhancing training, welfare and infrastructural development of the Centre.

During the visit, the Association appealed for additional support in renovating and maintaining facilities at the NAFRCOWA Nursery and Primary Schools. They also sought assistance in addressing the welfare of members among officers’ wives through job opportunities and skill acquisition programmes in order to empower them.

In his response, the Commandant appreciated the visit and commended NAFRCOWA’s contributions over the years to its members and dependants. He assured them of continued support, including improvements to classrooms, furniture and electricity supply among others within the Centre.
