A proper skin care routine keeps your skin clear, bright, supple and hydrated. It helps protect the skin against pollutants and sun radiation

There are two types of routine
AM (morning) routine and PM (night) routine

The Morning (AM) routine is for protection against pollutants, Sun protection and other damages

While the Night (PM) routine is for hydrating the skin

An Ideal Skin Care Routine involves

✅Cleansing: Choose a cleanser that doesn’t leave your skin tight after washing. Clean your face no more than twice a day, or just once, if you have dry skin and don’t wear makeup. Avoid washing for that squeaky-clean feeling because that means your skin’s natural oils are gone.

✅Toner: Toner is used after washing your face, and it helps smooth and calm skin while restoring nutrients. It also gets rid of dirt residues that still remains after cleansing.

✅Serums: A serum with vitamin C or growth factors or peptides would be better in the morning, under sunscreen. At night, retinol or prescription retinoids work best.

✅Moisturizer: Even oily skin needs moisturizer, but use one that is lightweight, gel-based, and non-comedogenic, or doesn’t block your pores. Dry skin may benefit from more cream-based moisturizers. Most brands will label their products as gel or cream on their packaging.

You can also add exfoliating and face masks to your routine
✨Exfoliator: Exfoliators are used to remove dead skin cells from your skin, they are used after a cleanser but before a moisturizer. They should only be used a maximum of once or twice a week.

✨face masks: they are meant for deep cleaning the skin. Facial masks helps in hydrating and moisturizing the skin, removing excess oils, improving the appearance of your pores, pulling out impurities, helping reduce signs of aging. A face mask should be used once a week.
