Day 1- The Weight of Becoming

Silent night, they say, but mine was a lousy night. All I could do was roll from one edge of the bed to the other. Everything looked so blurry, and my chest felt so tight.

All I could hear was the lousy noise of the mosquitoes humming into my ears, disturbing my thoughts. All I wanted was a me time, one I could reflect on the day's occurrence and what the tomorrow holds in store for me, but the night isn't giving me a chance. I tried so hard to close my heavy eyes, but it felt like a heavy task to do.
Oh my!
This weight rests heavily, even on my eye lids.
Hmm, the Weight of Becoming, a silent but lousy battle I must fight.
