My personal interpretation of this that life does not give you what you want; life gives you what you are. No one is going to create your future for you. No one will buy that land and build it for you. No one will create your desired future, plan your pension, plan school fees or house rent for you but you. The process of upgrading your life from where you are to where you want to be is the scary and dark cave and you will have to walk into it alone and the earlier the better.
