Five years have passed since the demise of the Australian car industry, and from February 2008 till October 2017 four car manufacturers closed down their Australian vehicle manufacturing operations, which included Mitsubishi, Ford, Toyota and Holden.
On the 20th of October 2017 the last Australian made car, a VF II Holden Commodore SSV Redline rolled off the Elizabeth production line in Adelaide, South Australia.
