I'm shattered at the moment because this AFCON final was there for the taken. Our coach was so negative in his approach, and did nothing in the second half. Each time the Ivorians had the ball, they were breaking our midfield lines as if it's non-existent. Due to our very negative and defensive strategy, Osimhen was left all alone up-front to fed for himself. Can you tell me how many times we were able to break their lines? Can you tell me how many times we were able to get to the final third of the pitch? They were just entering our defensive third "like say we be ashewo." Our wing-play was so porous like kilode. And to those substitutions? Oh my God! Our midfield lines were so deep that we found it so difficult to move up the field. We weren't pressing the ball at all, giving the Ivorians time and space to carefully pick their passes and execute their gameplay to the "T." I'm still in support of retaining the manager but he should be assisted with the likes of Samson Siasia or John Obuh who likes to play attacking football. As for Osimhen, sorry my guy for you had zero support. Congratulations to Ivory Coast, congratulations to the Super Eagles for coming (a distant and self inflicted) second, this chapter closes with all the "What Ifs." I dey vex WWWEEELLL, WWWEEELLL!
