Just snapped this pic a few hours back – a rarity for me since I usually wait a good four to six months before sharing my pictures.

Something unusual went down on Saturday during mass. The Catholic Men Organization (CMO) dropped a bombshell: they've brought in a psychologist to tackle the escalating su***de rates. In the president's words, "You don't have to be visibly unravelling mad to benefit from therapy." I chuckled silently because, hey, we're finally shedding the stigma around mental struggles.

Two years ago, I hit a mental low. I knew I needed help, but fear of judgment, especially fear of losing a relationship, held me back. The guy I was with at that time had already branded me 'insane' for battling depression. Opening up to him turned into a public spectacle, and seeking help took a backseat.

Did I seek help then? No. I endured a year of mental turmoil before my family stepped in. Looking back, I'm thankful the relationship ended it was not worth the stress abeg.

I am sharing this because, as much as I cherish my privacy, I want you to know: don't let society stigmatize you. Your functionality is tied to your mental well-being. Seeking therapy doesn't equal madness; sometimes, it's just about having a confidential space to talk.

Guard your mental health, your space, and your energy. See a therapist as routinely as your general practitioner if you can afford it. If you're in Nigeria, you get the mental and physical drain, but hey, it is what it is.

Remember, you are imperfect but loved by the most perfect being in the universe, GOD.
