Chapter Three:
Love, Tears, and Trouble

By SS2, many students had changed completely.
Some became prayer warriors. Some became troublemakers. Some fell in love for the first time.
Rumors spread faster than wildfire in school.
“Did you hear Precious and Daniel are dating?”
“Who told you?”
“The hostel captain!”
Examination periods were the worst. Students barely slept. Some read all night while others prayed desperately.
“O God, let this chemistry enter my head.”
Meanwhile, punishments never ended.
Latecomers knelt under the hot sun. Noise makers cut grass. Some students were suspended for sneaking phones into school.
Yet, every punishment eventually became a funny memory.

Chapter Two: Senior Wahala
Life in boarding school became tougher every day.
Seniors sent juniors on endless errands.
“Go and wash my bucket.” “Fetch water for me.” “Sweep this side.” “Run to the tuck shop!”
If a junior complained, punishment followed immediately.
One evening, Amara and her friend Esther carried ten heavy buckets of water upstairs while seniors sat comfortably pressing their phones.
“I’m tired,” Esther muttered.
“Shhh,” Amara whispered. “They’ll hear you.”
But secondary school was not only about suffering.
There were beautiful moments too.
Students laughed during dining hall gossip, shared midnight stories, borrowed clothes secretly, and formed friendships stronger than family.
During sports competitions, the entire school shouted with excitement.
“Blue House! Blue House!”
Students danced wildly whenever their house won.
Even teachers had their funny moments. One mathematics teacher always slept during prep while holding his marker.
