Remote Life with Ingrid
01/05/2026
Today is my birthday.
Iām grateful for life, for growth, and for the woman I am becoming.
This past year has taught me a lot about patience, discipline, resilience, and quiet progress. Not everything was loud or perfect, but I showed up, I learned, and I kept going.
Iāve realized that growth doesnāt always announce itself. Sometimes it looks like consistency, better decisions, healing, and choosing peace.
Iām stepping into this new year with more clarity, stronger boundaries, deeper faith, and bigger vision.
I may not be where I want to be yet, but Iām proud of how far Iāve come.
Hereās to more growth, more wins, more peace, and becoming everything Iām meant to be.
Happy birthday to me š¤

Hey!! its Monday
5 Freelance Websites I Recommend for Beginnersā
(Spoiler: These sites helped me go from āCan I really do this?ā to āYes, I just sent an invoice ")
When I first decided to start freelancing, I did what most people do:
I Googled āHow to get freelance jobs with no experience.ā
And BOOMā20 tabs opened
š
āWait⦠people are making money online just by offering services theyāre already good at?ā
So I took the leap.
Here are 5 websites that helped me start (and actually get clients)āwith a sprinkle of trial, error, and a lot of refreshing inboxes š
1. Upwork
The first platform I tried. And let me tell you, it felt like walking into a party where everyone already knew someone. But I stayed. I started small. Took on a tiny job. Nailed it. Got a review. And the rest is digital history.
Pro tip: Your first 1-2 clients matter more than perfection.
2. Fiverr
I created āgigsā that showcased exactly what I could do. Wrote it like I was explaining it to my best friend.
And guess what? Clients actually found me. Magic.
Pro tip: Make your gig titles clear + spicy = more clicks.
3. Freelancer.com
A bidding platform. Think eBay, but for skills. I was nervous at first, but persistence won. I learned to pitch smartānot spammy.
Pro tip: Donāt just say āI can do this.ā Say how youāll do it better.
4. PeoplePerHour
This one felt like a hidden gemāespecially great for writers, designers, and anyone with a creative edge.
Pro tip: Upload a clean portfolio. First impressions matter.
5. Toptal (for later)
Letās just say, if Upwork and Fiverr are the high school of freelancing, Toptal is Harvard. Apply when youāve got confidence + results to show.
Pro tip: Donāt rush. Toptal is for when you're ready to flex hard.
What I learned?
Pick one platform. Show up daily. Learn the ropes. Get feedback. Repeat.
Iāve walked this pathāand now I get to support amazing clients around the world with virtual tasks, tech help, sales support, and admin magic āØ
