Zimbabwe’s leadership keeps surprising me in the worst ways.
This is absolute nonsense. A man accused of brutally killing 25 people is sitting in Chikurubi Maximum Prison, getting three meals a day, media attention, and now a personal visit from the First Lady herself. What exactly was the purpose of that visit?
To “understand the mind of a killer”? To give him more spotlight? Or just for content and headlines?
Instead of prioritizing the grieving families—who lost breadwinners and are likely still suffering in silence—she chose to sit across from the very person who caused all that pain. She even visited the affected families in Guruve (which is good), but why give this monster equal or more attention?
This sends a dangerous message: Commit horrific crimes, end up in a “5-star” jail setup, get national coverage, and maybe even a visit from the President’s wife. What incentive does that create for future would-be serial killers?
It’s an embarrassment for the country. Common sense and priorities seem completely upside down.
Honestly, the next visit should be to the families of those 25 victims—spend real time there, support them, and show where the nation’s heart truly lies.
This guy deserves no sympathy, no platform, and certainly no VIP treatment. F*ck him and this kind of backwards leadership.
