This afternoon as I was coming back to the office, I experienced something that taught me a powerful lesson.

I was inside a bus in traffic when I noticed one young guy moving from car to car selling gala and soft drinks, just like the usual traffic vendors. The sun was hot and the traffic was slow, but he kept trying to make sales. Some drivers ignored him, some waved him off, but the guy no gree give up.

After some time, a passenger inside one of the cars called him to buy something. Immediately the young man started moving towards the car, the traffic light suddenly turned green and the cars began to move.

At that moment, it looked like the opportunity had gone.

But guess what?

The guy didn’t stop. He didn’t complain. He ran after the car, trying to catch up and complete the sale.

I eventually continued my journey, so I don’t know whether he made the sale or not. But that moment really taught me something.

Sometimes in life, the opportunity you want may start moving away from you just when you think you’re about to get it..

The question is: Will you give up, or will you pursue it?

Success most times comes to those who refuse to stop trying.

Life itself is a journey. There is no shortcut. Just keep pushing, keep hustling, and never give up on what you want.
