I made a bold decision to leave what I knew, move to Lagos, and start again from scratch.
No guarantees. No safety net. Just faith, fear, and a deep love for baking.

Cakewave was born during an ASUU strike, grew in Ile-Ife, and now I’m trusting God with this next chapter.
It hasn’t been easy, but every order, every message, every kind word reminds me why I started.

that’s honestly all i feel as 2025 comes to an end. thank you so much, beautiful people, for being part of this journey.

at the beginning of the year, i had clear goals. cake designs i wanted to recreate, new treats i wanted on the menu, places i hoped to send orders to, and most importantly, the dream of finally dropping the student-baker title. looking back now, God did everything on my vision board and even more.

and yes, we’ve moved to lagos 🎉
it’s a new beginning for cakewave. it’s exciting, it’s scary, but God has done it before and he will do it again.

for the first time in years, i am genuinely content with what cakewave has achieved. there’s still so much room to grow, but today, i’m proud of where we are.
