Power Topic: The Storm Calmer
Power Text: “For He commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea. He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.” Psalm 107:25, 29 (NKJV)

Psalm 107 was a hymn written to express Israelites’ exhortation to praise God for His unfailing love by hearing the prayers of those who called on Him. However, most interestingly, our text caught our attention, where the Psalmist expressed a unique ability of the Most High as the Calmer/Controller of Storm. Possibly, the Psalmist was referring to the Mediterranean which was a mighty sea and close to them physically but the Psalmist also was referring to all situations as great, uneasy to control or uncontrollable like a mighty stormy of Mediterranean sea. He said, God commands… the stormy wind by giving orders. No wonder Jesus also gave an order to the tempest sea He said” sea quiet, be still” and it obeyed the order immediately (Mark 4:39).

Wind by nature is seasonal in operation, it does not operate perpetually (continuously) but can destroy valuables both animate and inanimate when it operates even in a short-term. Storm moves very fast with great force while it operates but the Creator of all things has the capacity to calm and end every situation of storm in your life, marriage, career, health, finance etc. Every storm in our nations are stoppable by the Storm Controller, when we urge Him to move His hands to cease it. His mandate of peace will be established in every tempest region of mankind. Your sea must obey the order of the Creator of all!

Every storm surrounding us obey the order of the Storm Controller for total calmness; every situation of war in every realm be calmed for normalcy; receive restoration from all storms and their effects in every area of life; receive divine calmness in every situation of storm in Jesus name! Amen. The storm is calm! Peaceful Week! Shalom!
