EQUITY CHAMBERS BUK SUCCESSFULLY HOSTS WELCOME BACK MOOT COURT COMPETITION ⚖️

As part of its commitment to promoting practical legal education and advocacy among its members, Equity Chambers, Bayero University Kano, successfully conducted its Welcome Back Moot Court Competition.

The competition provided participants with a valuable opportunity to experience courtroom advocacy firsthand, exposing them to legal argumentation, courtroom procedure, and the practical aspects of legal practice. It was an engaging and enlightening exercise that greatly enhanced the advocacy skills of the participating counsels.

We sincerely appreciate our esteemed judges for their time, guidance, and insightful observations, as well as all participating counsels whose dedication and impressive performances contributed to the success of the event.

At Equity Chambers, we believe that legal excellence is achieved not only through learning but also through practice. This competition is one of many initiatives aimed at equipping our members with the practical skills required for the legal profession, and we look forward to organizing more of such impactful activities in the future.

EQUITY CHAMBERS BUK ATTENDED THE KANO LAWYERS CLINIC SYMPOSIUM

In furtherance of its commitment to the academic and professional development of its members, Equity Chambers, Faculty of Law, Bayero University Kano, today participated in a legal symposium organized by the Kano Lawyers Clinic.

The symposium focused on the adoption of technology in legal practice and examined how legal professionals can effectively utilize modern technological tools to enhance their work. Discussions highlighted the growing relevance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital legal research platforms, case management systems, and other innovations shaping the future of the legal profession.

The event provided members with valuable insights into the practical application of these technologies, emphasizing their role in improving efficiency, legal research, workflow management, and service delivery. Participants also engaged with experts and gained a broader understanding of both the opportunities and challenges presented by technological advancements in the legal sector.

In furtherance of its commitment to fostering and enhancing advocacy skills among its members, Equity Chambers, Bayero University Kano, is pleased to invite all members of the Chambers and the entire Faculty of Law community to its Welcome Back to School Moot Court Competition.

This competition is designed to provide students with a practical platform to develop and sharpen essential legal skills, including legal research, brief writing, oral advocacy, critical thinking, courtroom etiquette, and effective legal argumentation. It also serves as an avenue for participants to gain confidence and practical exposure to the realities of legal practice.
