A WAKE-UP CALL TO THE NATION 🇳🇬

Many of our compatriots Muslims, Christians, and followers of other faiths have taken Donald Trump’s recent remarks on social media as mere jokes or political banter. But the truth, however bitter, is that this matter is no joke. It is a serious signal, and what Nigeria needs now is not laughter or argument, but unbroken prayers and divine vigilance - day and night - seeking the protection of the Almighty God.

Now, to those Christians who celebrate and proclaim that Trump’s alleged threat of military intervention is to “defend Christianity”, let this be clear: it is not your religion that will be defended; it is Nigeria that will be destroyed. From my observation and understanding, the United States has long nurtured a hidden agenda toward Nigeria, an interest they have only now found the opportunity to unveil.

I must call the attention of both Muslims and Christians who treat this issue with indifference or mockery, understand this: war is the ugliest curse known to mankind. It devours lives, ruins economies, shatters generations, and leaves nations in ashes. The losses it brings are irrecoverable, no wealth, diplomacy, or technology can restore what war destroys.

As Nigerians, we have long regarded America as a partner nation, a supposed ally with whom we share historical and diplomatic ties. But if truly the United States seeks to confront us militarily, then such a stance is a betrayal of friendship and a mockery of humanity. Instead of threatening us with war, a nation that prides itself as a global power should rather support us in eradicating banditry and restoring peace across our land.

Finally, as a patriotic son of this soil, I raise my voice, not in fear, but in conviction to call for unity and peace among Nigerians of every faith. Let us stand together as one broom bound by a single cord, one voice, one heart, one people under God.

Nigeria is our only home, we have no second homeland. Let us, therefore, dwell under one shelter as a family, guarding our peace, our faith, and our future. May the Almighty strengthen our unity, shield us from calamity, and grant our beloved nation everlasting peace. 🇳🇬🤲
