𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲!
A new month. Another opportunity to inspire, educate, and build a generation that understands sustainability.
Looking back, we're grateful for every school visited, every conversation shared, every question asked, and every young mind introduced to the Sustainable Development Goals.
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬.
From our classroom engagements to the Inter-School SDGs Competition, the donation of educational and SURWASH materials, and the drive to institutionalise SDGs Clubs in participating schools, we're excited for what's ahead.
Thank you to everyone who has supported, collaborated with, and believed in this vision.

Every session and conversation with these bright young minds at GSSS Township Jos reinforces the project's belief that this generation is more than capable of taking on the challenges facing people, peace, and the planet.
What they need is not potential, they already have that. What they need is access to the right knowledge, opportunities, and platforms to act.
Through the JosSDGs4Us Project, we are doing our part to ensure that the next generation understands the Sustainable Development Goals, sees their place within them, and is empowered to contribute to a more sustainable future.
Because sustainability starts with awareness, grows through action, and succeeds through collective responsibility.

The goal of the JosSDGs4Us Project is not just to educate but to give voice to opinions and ideas that spark conversations, inspire ownership and lead to Action.
With each session, seeds of sustainability are gaining ground, hands are springing up, voices are speaking up and sparks of action is being ignited.

One in every three malaria-related deaths worldwide occurs in Nigeria. This is more than a statistics, it is a call to action.
Government and citizens alike must step up, not just to reduce but to eliminate the mortality rates associated with malaria.
Through the Jos SDGs4Us Project, we believe change begins with awareness and is sustained through action.

World Water day was recently marked worldwide with official Reports indicating that a whooping 2.1 billion people still lack safely managed drinking water.
The call to action needs to be stronger, more intentional and action driven to ensure that everyone has access to clean and safe water.
For us at JosbSDGs4Us It starts with awareness and understanding the importance of Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6) amongst students and translating that awareness into active participation and opportunities in water management.
Because access to safe water should never be a privilege, but a basic right.
Building sustainability through the SDGs, One school, one class and one student at a time.

SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16) with the students of GSS, West of Mines.
At first, many of the students placed the blame for everything wrong with Nigeria squarely on the systems of government.
But as the conversation progressed, we guided them to a deeper realisation: 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐬.
In many ways, they are simply them, years from now.
We emphasised that achieving SDG 16 is only possible when each of us plays our part — advocating and acting in the interest of peace and social justice, regardless of our differences or biases.

speaking up when something is wrong,
refusing to engage in malpractice,
and choosing to respect rules that often seem easy to fluant.
Because when they eventually become judges, politicians, law enforcers, and lawmakers, that sense of justice must already be rooted within them.
That is how the foundations for strong institutions that uphold justice and promote peace are built.

From awareness to engagement, questions, and thoughtful discussions, our conversation with the senior students of GSS Angwan Rogo was truly insightful.
The session highlighted the importance of Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6) and its connection to Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), and how both play critical roles in ensuring students can get the very best from their education (SDG4).
The session reminded us that when students understand the issues that shape their lives and communities, learning becomes more than just classroom activity, it becomes a pathway to building a healthier and more sustainable future for themselves.
