*SECURITY ADVISORY!*

The attention of the University Management has been drawn to a viral voice note in circulation on social media, in which people are being cautioned to avoid specific locations in Jos and environs, in view of a planned protest on Friday 6 March, 2026.

While Management is very careful in acting on unverified and unconfirmed information, nevertheless the Vice Chancellor has again directed that members of the University community be advised to be very vigilant and extra careful with their movements (On and off Campus).
Furthermore, members are again advised to AVOID HOTSPOTS, AVOID COMING OUT VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING, and should REPORT IMMEDIATELY any sign or shadow of breach of the public peace to the University Security Division on this number.

Finally, the University community is assured that the Security Division along with other allied agencies are doing all within their powers to guarantee the maximum safety and protection of lives and property on campus.
