Today, we celebrate 65 years of freedom, strength, and resilience as a nation.

But true independence is not just political—it’s also about knowledge and literacy. 📚

Before colonial times, knowledge was passed through storytelling, proverbs & oral traditions.

Missionaries and colonial schools later introduced formal reading & writing, but only to a few.

After 1960, Nigeria launched universal primary education & literacy campaigns to reach more children.

Today, millions can read and write—yet the challenge remains: millions more still cannot.
