Nigeria’s land area size is measured at 923,768 square kilometres. Out of the 36 states, there are big and small states in terms of landmass.

For the record, the largest state in the country is Niger state and it measures a land area of 76, 353 sq km while Lagos state is the smallest with a landmass measured at 3,345 sq km.

According to the landmass of each of the States in Nigeria, we can see that name the States alone as a landmass of 76,363KM². This means that the whole of Niger state is bigger than the entire South Western part of Nigeria.

Kogi State has a landmass of 29,833KM² meaning that the entire southwestern part of Nigeria is a little less than the whole of Kogi State.
