NAPPS Kwara State Chapter Honours the Emir of Ilorin on His 30 Years of Distinguished Leadership
The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Kwara State Chapter, joyfully felicitates with His Royal Highness, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Emir of Ilorin, on the remarkable occasion of his 30th year on the revered throne of his forefathers.
In a goodwill message issued by the State President, Hon. Ishaq Saka Saadu, the Association expressed profound admiration for the Emir’s visionary leadership, humility, and unwavering dedication to the peace, unity, and progress of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole.
The statement noted that over the past three decades, His Royal Highness has distinguished himself as a symbol of justice, wisdom, and compassion virtues that have endeared him to his subjects and earned him respect across Nigeria and beyond.
“Under the Emir’s reign, the Ilorin Emirate has continued to experience remarkable social cohesion, educational advancement, and steady development. His exemplary guidance and advocacy for moral discipline have remained a beacon of inspiration to leaders, educators, and the younger generation,” the statement reads in part.
NAPPS Kwara State Chapter also commended the Emir for his consistent support and encouragement of education as a foundation for human and societal development. His Royal Highness’s commitment to learning and enlightenment, the Association added, continues to inspire schools and educational stakeholders across the state.
As the Ilorin Emirate celebrates this historic milestone, NAPPS joins the good people of Kwara State in thanking Almighty Allah for granting the Emir a peaceful and impactful reign. The Association prays that Allah (SWT) will bless His Royal Highness with long life, sound health, and divine wisdom to continue guiding the Emirate in prosperity and harmony.

REPORT ON THE COURTESY VISIT OF THE STATE VICE PRESIDENT I (COMR. BOLAJI DAUD) TO ZONE D
The leadership and members of NAPPS Zone D warmly received the State Vice President I, Comrade Bolaji Daud, on a courtesy visit to the zone.
The visit created an avenue for fruitful discussions on key issues affecting the Association at both State and Zonal levels, as well as ways to strengthen collaboration and enhance effective operations across all zones in the State.
Key Issues and Suggestions Raised
1️⃣ Taxation:
Members expressed concerns over multiple taxation and emphasized the need for continuous engagement with relevant government agencies to ensure a fair and business-friendly tax environment for private schools.
Strengthening of Zones:
Members suggested the need for renewed efforts to strengthen all zones, ensuring active participation at both zonal and state levels. Proposals such as regular communication, empowerment programs, and joint activities were highlighted as ways to boost commitment and inclusiveness.
Delegate System for State Meetings:
The Zone proposed the adoption of a delegate system for State meetings to improve representation, coordination, and cost-effectiveness, while giving each zone a stronger sense of inclusion in state affairs.
VP I’s Response
Comrade Bolaji Daud appreciated the Zone for their warm reception and commitment to the Association’s progress.
He assured members that:
✅ The State leadership will continue its advocacy with relevant authorities to address taxation issues affecting private schools.
✅ Plans are underway to revitalize all zones through improved communication and capacity-building programs.
✅ The delegate system proposal will be tabled before the State Executive Council for consideration and proper implementation.
National Conference Update
The VP I also sensitized members on the upcoming 18th NAPPS National Conference, encouraging Zone D to mobilize and register en masse. He expressed concern that registration from the Zone was yet to be received, emphasizing that Zone D has always been a leading and active Zone in the State.
He appealed for full participation and support to ensure a successful and impactful conference.
Members of Zone D pledged their readiness and commitment to participate actively in the event.
Conclusion
The courtesy visit was indeed productive and inspiring, further strengthening the bond between the State and the Zone. The State leadership remains committed to implementing the suggestions raised and promoting unity, professionalism, and excellence within NAPPS across all zones in Kwara State.

COURTESY VISIT TO KWARA NORTH ZONES ON NATIONAL CONFERENCE AWARENESS
In a bid to adequately inform and sensitize members about the forthcoming NAPPS National Conference 2025, the State Vice President III, representing Kwara North and the State Treasurer on a courtesy visitation to both Share and Edu Zones today 29th October, 2025
During the visit, the State VP III relayed the message from the State leadership on the importance of full participation at the national conference, emphasizing that it is a rare opportunity for Kwara State, one that may not return in the next 20years.
He further encouraged members to seize this moment to showcase the unity, strength, and commitment of NAPPS Kwara State to Nuturing For National Development.
