*A WEEK LATER*
EMERIE'S POV
I woke from my alarm clock, went to the bathroom, took 20 minutes shower, returned to my bedroom in my towel.
I sighted a pink Floral off shoulder flare dress on my bed that George bought for me.
I rolled my eyes as I took some Casey clothes from my wardrobe.
I glanced at the dress again which is attracting me. On the other hand, there's Casey's clothes that I'm trying to cherish forever.
I smiled “Just today won't hurt right?" I giggled as I returned Casey's clothes to my wardrobe.
I wore the pink dress and tied up the belt. I combed my wet curly hair and plaited it in two.
I wore my yellow rose crochet backpack and left the bedroom, straight to the kitchen.
I smiled seeing George wearing green apron messy with flour, baking some cookies and cupcakes.
“Good morning my student." I giggled playfully.
He looked stunned at me for a minute then smile and hugged me. “Good morning, Teach.” He disengaged.
I've been teaching him how to bake for the past one week, he was my personal assistant in business and now he surprised me but he's still messy.
“So what have you baked?“ I asked.
“I made cookies, cupcakes, donuts and French fries.” He sighed, removing his mittens “That's all I can do. I promise I'll be better than...”
“Are you crazy? This is really impressive, lemme taste it.” I took a cookie and ate.
I frowned in amusement “Oh my Gosh, this is amazing!”
“You're welcome.” He blushed.
“Okay, let's pack this in the basket and sell it in school.” I said as we started arranging the pastries into two baskets.
Mom came out and smiled weirdly at us as we greeted Good morning. George and I both left the house, climbed our bicycles and rode off, selling pastries to the villagers.
Some people who knew me were so happy that I'm back home. This reminds me of the good memories when Casey was alive.
We arrived in front of the school building, walked into the school hallway, selling more pastries. They were so happy, chanting 'Baker is back!'
I feel loved.
Minutes later, I leaned at my locker, counting the money I earned today after selling almost all the pastries.
“Emerie! Emerie!" George ran to me happily and kept his basket with mine “Guess how much I've made this morning.”
“How much?” I asked, smiling lightly.
“$300.” He handed the money to me.
I gasped “No way! Well done my student.” I smiled proudly as I collected the money “Well I earned 600 bucks.”
“That's a thousand dollars we've made today!" He gasped, carried me and spin me around.
“Ha!" I giggled as he dropped me.
“Wow, this days, I'm beginning to know the value of money.” He sighed.
I nodded “Well, President son.” “Thank you for teaching me all this things."
“Thank you for being there for me no matter how I chase you away." I smiled as he hugged each other intensely.
“Wow, another boyfriend, another victim.” Kekel approached us, smirking.
I rolled my eyes “Won't you grow up, Kekel? This is getting old.”
“At least I'm old enough to realize you're doing something stupid and crazy again?! You're the reason Casey died, if it wasn't for your family curse, he would still be alive!” She yelled.
My mood destroyed reminding me of how I allowed Casey to be my boyfriend.
“Get away from us, nincompoop!!" George yelled and Kekel walked off angrily.
“Emerie, don't listen to her...”
“I think I need some time alone.” I cried, running away from him, shedding tears.
GEORGE'S POV
"Argh!" I punched the locker angrily “I was so close!”
So close to win Emerie's heart and some disgusting sl×t ruined everything. That's it, I must get her out of my way.
*Few Minutes Later* Principal office
KEKEL'S POV
“What?!" I exclaimed as the principal gave me the letter.
“I'm expelled?! For what?” I asked angrily.
“You're being reported that you've been bullying your fellow students since you entered this school, we always pardon you but this time, there's no chance.” Mr principal sighed.
“But sir, LogTown High is the only school in this village, where will I study?" I cried.
“I don't know, you should have thought about that before hurting people, please leave my office.” He pointed to the door.
I sniffed as I stood and left the office, shedding tears. Bullying has ruined me.
GEORGE'S POV
I smirked watching the idiot leaving the school building. That's what she deserves for messing with me.
“Get rid of the threat, Check." I said mentally.
“And now.” I took a deep breath as I peeped into the school cafeteria, watching the poor girl sitting alone, thinking “Emerie."
I approached her and sat beside her “Go away, please.” She cried.
“No." I said adamantly.
“What?”
“I will, leave you oif we hangout after school at the Ronnie restaurant just opened today.” I smiled.
EMERIE'S POV
Just for him to finally leave me alone.
“Fine.” I shrugged.
*After School*
We climbed our bicycles to the small cute restaurant made with wood and a cow logo sign in front.
We entered the restaurant looking not fancy but nice, in 1940s Western theme.
The waiters and waitresses wearing white, red and black cowboy costumes. Some band playing western music with the funny guitar and piano, a cow mascot entertaining people.
George booked a table and we sat down “So, how do you like this place?" He smiled.
“It's so amazing, why do you always get me?" I laughed.
“Because I know you." He smirked.
“What?"
“What would you like?" George asked.
I shrugged “Cheese sandwich and chocolate milkshake.”
“Waiter!” He shouted as a waiter approached us “She wants cheese sandwich and chocolate milkshake and I also want chocolate milkshake but two slize of mushroom pizza.”
The waiter left.
“This place is amazing.” I smiled.
“I know, right?” George replied.
The waiter came and served our orders “Enjoy ya food, happy couple."
George and I both laughed awkwardly “We're not dating.” I blurted.
“Don't care." He left and we started eating, their food is as good as the restaurant.
“Moo! Howdy yo!” The cow mascot came “I'm Ronnie, are you happy couple enjoying my food?"
Why do people mistake us as couple? Well, I'm blushing because I'm starting to like George but...
“The food is good but we're not a couple, just friends.” I smiled.
“By the way, I would love to be coming here for my breakfast, lunch, even dinner." George grinned.
“Well, A hog-killin' time! Moo!" The cow mascot left.
“I love this place.” George smiled.
I blushed lightly, watching him smiling, checking out the restaurant. I've never seen him this happy before.
