Today, The ROTARACT CLUB OF OYO CENTRAL Zone K, District 9125 Nigeria carried out her Basic Education & Literacy project at Methodist Secondary School located in Iware, Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The project was done to empower young minds in the rural community through education in accordance to one of Rotary's 7 Areas of Focus - Basic Education and Literacy. This Project is also in line with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 which focuses on quality education, aiming to ensure inclusive, equitable and quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

We were able to reach out to Over 150 students (JSS1-SSS3) of Methodist Secondary School, Iware, providing accessible educational materials to enhance their learning. Resources which include;

✓ 10 Complete School Uniforms
✓ 10 School bags
✓ 120 Notebooks
✓ 150 Pens
✓ 72 Pencils

In addition, villagers were engaged on the Importance of Education and the need to enroll their wards in schools to acquire quality education and eradicate illiteracy.
