"At the inception, I made the move to reach out to the FLC, executives, the dean of student affairs. At this point, I feel like I should just focus on other things I’m actually getting my life into right now. The position I was on Jan 27th is actually different from the position I’m in now. Now I’m actually thinking of other things to engage my time in positively. Those are the major things now. Looking at everything that happened, the way individuals in the faculty reacted to it, I can say maybe I’ve actually done my best.
The fact is I’ve actually left the election to whatever happens– whatever Afasites actually want, let it just be their way. I won’t be contesting anymore if a rerun is eventually granted by the school management. But then pushing the case up is actually for history. Our history shouldn’t record that the faculty of Art had an election marred with so many irregularities. This should be our field of specialization; ours is a place where...."

ON 2019/2020 UI UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION EXERCISE: SENATE REAFIRMS UNIVERSITY'S NON- INVOLVEMENT IN MANIPULATION
At its special meeting held on Friday, 24 January, 2020, the attention of the Senate of the University of Ibadan was drawn to the article titled “Manipulation of Admission Process through University Portals” published in the JAMB Bulletin of 9 December, 2019 and two national dailies.
While the article accused three public universities of manipulation of the admission process, it did not mention the name of any university but went ahead to put an image of the University of Ibadan in the article.
According to the university’s registrar,Olubunmi O. Faluyi, the Senate noted that while 19,450 sat for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise, 12,450 scored 50% and above and were subjected to the cut-off marks set for courses to select the best of the applicants. The details of all candidates who were recommended for provisional admission were uploaded to the JAMB Central Processing System (CAPS) to enable them accept the offer and print their letters of admission.
After an extensive deliberation, Senate reaffirmed that the University had never been involved in any form of manipulation. In addition, ....

Eniola Francis emerges newly elected president of Faculty of Arts
Sequel to the election which held at the Faculty of Arts quadrangle, on Thursday 23 January 2020, Eniola Francis a.k.a. Sirfrancisco has emerged winner of the election with a total number of 352 votes. Aderemi Moses comes closest in second with 323 votes, while Damilare Thomas garnered 318 votes.for the vice president category, Modupe Ajayi emerged victorious with 555 votes while Ikaa Favour amassed 437 votes.
