Although we were not participating in this year’s national finals, we are grateful to the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy for sponsoring our team to witness this inspiring event. We are especially proud that Bauchi State, representing our region, emerged as the national winner and secured 1st place.

Initiatives like the National Girls in ICT Competition align closely with our mission of empowering women and young people through mentorship, digital skills, and innovation. By creating opportunities for young talents to learn, compete, and solve real world challenges, we are collectively building a stronger future driven by technology and inclusion.

Thank you to everyone who applied for Pitch IT Cohort 2. We received an incredible number of applications from ambitious founders across Northeastern Nigeria, and we are excited by the level of innovation and potential showcased.

Our review process is now underway, and shortlisted startups will be contacted soon for the next stage of selection.

Earlier today, we had a fruitful strategic discussion with one of our advisory board members, Prof. Alkali, Founder of Prime Academy, towards the successful implementation of Pitch IT Cohort 2.

Prof. Alkali is also veteran entrepreneur, an academic among others whose passion for empowering people continues to inspire meaningful impact across Northern Nigeria.
