On Monday,15 July, 2024, the YPE4AH team,led by the Senior Technical Director, Lagos, paid an advocacy visit to Honourable Folawiyo Muibi, Executive Chairman of Lagos-Island East LCDA.

The visit aimed to appreciate the LGA’s support, seek further partnerships, and advance the health and well-being of adolescents in the area. The meeting had in attendance the Chairman, Medical Officer of Health, Heads of Departments of Agriculture & Social Service,
Education, the LCDA Council Manager, the Council Treasurer and Chief Press Secretary.

The Executive Chairman expressed his gratitude to the YPE4AH team for the impact made so far in the lives of young residents in the vibrant Lagos Island community. He further promised to continue to work with the YPE4AH- “We will work with you, not only with you but towork with you for the betterment of the youth of Lagos Island.”

He also admonished the young people present to keep up with the good work and the skills they have learned so far on the project. Sharing his personal experience,he advised that they stay sensitive to giving back to their community, ensuring that they stand up for each other.
