CHOCOLATE CARAMEL NUT CAKE

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1½ cups sugar
1 cup butter (or oil)
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
For the caramel filling:
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup heavy cream (or evaporated milk)
½ tsp salt
For the nut layer:
1 cup roasted peanuts or walnuts (chopped)
For the chocolate caramel frosting:
1 cup butter
2 cups icing sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
2–3 tbsp milk
½ cup caramel sauce
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease the baking pan.
2. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
5. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and mix well.
6. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30–40 minutes. Let it cool completely.
7. For caramel: heat sugar until melted and golden. Add butter, then cream, and stir until smooth. Add salt and allow to cool slightly.
8. Slice cake into layers. Spread caramel and sprinkle nuts between layers.
9. For frosting: beat butter, icing sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and caramel until smooth.
10. Cover cake with frosting, pour extra caramel on top, and garnish with chopped nuts.
