Football Update

🎙️🇦🇷 Ángel Di María on his dream of returning to his hometown club, Rosario Central, and the threats he received because of it:

“One of the threats was a box with a pig's head and a bullet in the forehead, with a note that said that, if I returned, the next head would be that of my daughter Pía.

It was at my sister's real estate agency, it didn't come to light because my sister and my brother-in-law were scared and didn't report it.

I made the decision not to return to Rosario Central after the first threat. I spoke to Gonzalo Belloso and he asked me how I was... 'f**k it', I told him.

They were horrible months where we only thought and cried every night because we couldn't fulfil our dream.

I spoke again in May and told him that I was not coming back, that I would not be able to rest easy knowing that at any moment something could happen.

My family comes first, no matter who it may be."
