Chapter 8🖋️

Xander fell on the floor and a little of his blood stained the tile.

He touch his wounded jaw and looked up to see who had attacked him.

His eyes widened when he saw Micheal, he stood up and scanned the man before him who was breathing heavily and then he scanned the house with his eyes.

"Why did you hit me?" his eyes were suddenly bloodshot.

"You are nothing but a coward" Michael rushed at him holding his shirt firmly.

Xander understood what was happening and he burst out laughing but stopped due to the pain in his jaw as he slwky rubbed his injured jaw.

"I can still get her back if you want" he beamed at Micheal, it was a smile which was making fun on Micheal.

Michael couldn't bear it pain, he pushed Xander to the floor and began punching him, his stotic facial expressions made it look as if a stone statue was attacking a human.

Xander used his strength and kicked Micheal to the side.

"Aria would never like you, you are nothing but a stone. You can't even express your own emotions"

"Why are even so obsessed with a girl you just met?"

Xander was confused on why Micheal was so involved in his crazy low class friend.

Micheal clinged his fists,"You know nothing about her"

"She is from the slums, what else is there to know?"Xander said this trying to curry out information from Micheal, but Micheal ignored his and walked out of the house.

"Surely, you will regret treating her as such" Michael's words were straightforward without any pleastries.

On his way out of the house, he bumped in to Derek and Geroge who were both talking and smiling.

On seeing Mucheal, they were confused about his appearance.

"Bro" Derek called as he tried to touch Micheal's shoulder but Micheal pushed his away while giving him death stares.

Derek shifted, Micheak had the worse temper despite his quietness, the guys thought that he was like that because he was unable to express himself.

They walked into the mansion and was shocked by the scene before them.

"Some day my prince will come"

"Some day we'll meet again"

"And away to his castle we'll go"

"To be happy forever I know"

"Some day when spring is here"

"We'll find our love anew"

"And the birds will sing"

"And wedding bells will ring"

"Some day when my dreams come true""

She heard someone clap and looked up to see a man who was putting in a mask she couldn't see his features clearly because of the darkness but the light from the moon showed that was must be really handsome.

He sat beside her in a elegant manner and Aria who had noticed the behaviors of the elite concluded that he was one of them.

"You must be a princess" the man spoke out as he started at the beautiful girl who was dressed in a pink flora dress.

Aria laughed gently, she took a deep breath and the familiar smell from the man made her at ease.

Her troubled mind became so calm, her eyes became heavy and she subconsciously drew closer to him.

The masked man stared at the girl confused.

The Girl drew closer to him, she brought her face closer to his, 'Does she want a kiss?' he wondered

"You smell so good" her words brought him out of his imaginations and he smiled charming.

He stared at girl before him, her green eyes reflected the light of the moon and as if like a flash, something flashed through hisbmind.

He made a metal note of it.

"You don't need a prince" the masked man said, his powerful voice made Aria feel protected.

"Why?" the breeze blew her hair from behind almost covering her face.

The man removed the strands of hair and cupped the girl's face in his huge palm, "I am an Emperor, I would give you the world"

Aria's cheeks turned red, she wanted to be beside this man, his smell. She loved the way he smelled.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath filling her stomach with his intoxicating but soothing smell. She opened her eyes slowly as she let out the burdens in her heart.

She stood up as if in a trance and turned to leave.

"You didn't even tell me your name" the man asked in surprised.

"You should be thankful you still have your hands after touching my face" Aria's eyes were so cold that the temperature around them dropped but the man before her gave off such calming warmth.

She sneered and started walking away from him.

Erick smiled as he watched the girl hop away.

She wanted a kingdom but he was giving her the world but still the little bunny...

He waited still she had gone far before removing his mask just then Andre rushed to him.

"Good job"

"Do I get a raise or a vacation?" Andre wagged his tail happily.

"Keep an eye on her" Andre who had been expecting some self care time was saddened when he heard his new assignment.

"Boss, this girl is like a baby chicken she is hard to follow up" he wanted to say but didn't have the courage to.

"Also get me a poster if Disney Snow White "

Andre's face displayed different expression in just a moment.

He wanted to question his boss but then he remembered what his boss had done to him so he decide to allow the boss to be punished.

"Okay boss." Andre turned his to his heels and left obediently.

Erick felt something was out of place with Andre but he bared no to much attention to it.

He got into his car and speeded off.

REECE MANSION

Kate was seated in the sitting room, she was crocheting a beautiful sweater.

It had a huge red heart in the middle.

She hummed a 90's tone as she focused solely on the job at hand.

Hank admired his wife and choose not to disturb her, he knew whom the sweater was for and how much his dear wife loved this person, he allowed her enjoy her moment.

Xander drove into his house, he opened the main door and removed his mask.

He was horrified to see both parents staring at him.

Chapter 7🖋️

Erick was busy with going through some documents when he felt Andre glancing at him at intervals as though he was contemplating to say something.

"Speak!" his voice sent a cold chill down Andre's spine.

Andre showed Eric his phone and Erick's expression changed instantly.

He started at the phone a little longer and he looked up at Andre,"You know what to do" he threw the phone out of the window and Andre's heart dropped.

Michael had just finished some designs had he sent them to the organization.

He stood up from his chair and did a little stretching, the turned on his data so see countless messages from TQ.

TQ which means the quad was group chat that which belonged to the four friends.

He didn't bother reading much till he saw a message from Xander.

'She is gone'

Michael was confused and he immediately tapped the notification button.

As he read the messages, he became angry, although he couldn't change his facial expressions his eyes spoke.

He typed, 'Meet up, Quad mile, 7pm' he sent it and immediately went offline.

Aria got to her dorm, she opened her door and walked in. Everyone who had a family had gone home but she? She left

She dragged her bag into the room and started knocking her things.

She walked into the kitchen and checked the cupboard, she was able to find some packets of ramen, she turned on the stove and started cooking.

"No place like home" she took a deep breath and an awful smell hit her nose and frowned.

"Gross, something stinks in here" she looked around and when she passed the mirror she saw her reflection.

She had eyes bags and her hair was so messy that they looked like a sponge.

She then recalled that she hadn't shower.

"Gosh"

"I'm the stink bag" her voice was filled with pity, self pity, she grabbed her towel and ran to the bathroom avoiding the mirror.

"Even if I'm from the slums, I still need to look good. My future husband might have seem me today." she shook her head as turned on the shower tap as she prayed that he loses his memory if he had seen her somewhere today.

"Myla, your plan worked" Blair who was filing her nails couldn't help but compliment her friends on the activities of last night.

"Yeah, I knew Xander would never believe that low class winch over us" the confidence in her voice could convince others that Aria was the wrong one.

Julie who was busy with her phone, dropped it and adjusted her seat.

"But guys come to think of it, Xander likes her so much, so why didn't he believe her?" Julie's face was filled with uncertainty

Myla smiled in a mischievous manner, "Let's say he is a weakling who can't protect the girl he loves so he sent her away to save her" she burst out laughing and Julie faced Myla sharply.

"What did you do?"

The grin on Myla's face grew and even Blair became interested in the drama.

"Well.. " she stood up from her seat and walked closer to both girls who were already eager to know what had trabspired between Xander and Myla.

The sky was dark but with it lies diamond which sprinkled and danced despite the condition of the humans beneath them.

A luxurious sport car could be spotted driving from the rich main land through the city and into the woods. It kept in moving deep into the woods until it appeared on a cleared land.

There stood a big house like mansion.

The big gate opened and the sport car drove in towards the packing lot, there was a power bike and a car already parked at the packing lot.

The owner of the car stopped the car and opened the door, his long slender hands pushed the door open and his long legs stepped on the floor.

He came out of the car and the moon shone it's light on his blonde hair which had strands of deep blue, a new dye perhaps.

He closed the door and walked towards the mansion door. He placed his finger on the bell and the door immediately opened.

"Hey..." he couldn't finish his sentence when he felt a powerful force land on his face followed by a sharp pain.

Erick focused on his laptop, his fingers moved quickly, his eyes were piercing.

"Boss, Aria's background might not be so simple" Andre's gently voice broke the cold silence in the room.

Erick who was so focused didn't take his eyes away from the computer but his facial expression changed a little.

He stretched his hand towards Andre, he understood the assignment and passed the envelope he had to his boss.

"The scandal?"

"It has gone down, no media outlet would dare to disobey you"

"Her whereabouts?"

"She hasn't gone out of her dorm since she entered" After he was done reporting this Andre sat beside Erick although he maintained a distance.

"Why are you so interested in her?" Andre was confused.

His boss was the most successful bachelor in the country, ladies from high class families would die to have him near but he was going for someone who is crazy - like very crazy- and beautiful.

Maybe he was just interested in her beauty.

"Did you read the files in the envelope?" Erick who had gone back to his laptop asked.

"No"

Erick made a loud sound with the laptop and closed it and sighed.

He removed the computer from his laps and placed them on the side table.

He stood up and carried his suit which was near by, then he turned to Andre who had stood up the moment he did.

"She is unique" His eyes showed that he had so many things to say but his lips were disciplined.

Andre checked his phone and he looked at his boss, "The car is ready"

Erick nodded and gave Andre a car key, Andre stared at his boss with a confused expression.

"You are a good puppy"

Andre smiled at the compliment and his invincible tail wagged.

His joy was interrupted by a beep from his phone.

"She just went out of the university"

"Where to?"

"Veem Park, mid west" he reported.

"Get my motorbike ready!"

"But boss, madam" Andre's face was filled with disapporval and fear.

"If she finds out then it would be you that spilled the milk"

With that he walked into a room that looked like a closet.

While in the closet, Erick opended the envelope and his face was filled with displeasure as he started at a particular name.

"Melissa McCarthy" he called out in a soft but confused manner.

'So there's more?' he wondered as he read. He smiled.

It wasn't a smile of warmth but a confused smile used to relief the nerves.
