STAY STRONG AND KEEP BELIEVING

As we go through our daily lives, each one of us experiences difficult situations. A lot of the times when we go through pain or suffering, we are surprised that these situations find a way into our lives and forget that God has told us that we will experience hardships. We are given the gift of faith from Him and are taught to use this valuable fruit of the Spirit, but a lot of the times we do not. In difficult or confusing times, we are quick to worry about them instead of having faith.

The grace of God has given us the gift of faith, not because we deserve it, but as a result of the everlasting goodness of His works. It is important to also know that this gift we have been given is not in exchange for us accomplishing good works. Appreciation for this gift should fill our hearts with humility knowing we've been given something we could never achieve on our own.

OCTOBER TOUCH (Part 3)
Title : A Different Spirit
"Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Romans 12:14"

Devotion : The world believes in a tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye; this means that the world believes in vengeance. However, the Christian is of a different Spirit; he is born into the light of God, which believes in forgiveness. The Christian is blessed and has been made to be a blessing (Ephesians 1:3). Therefore, cursing or uttering curses is not the nature of Christ and hence not the nature of the Christian. The Christian must live according to his or her nature. Jesus Christ acknowledged that we will be persecuted just as He was persecuted. All the persecutions are training tools to build our faith; therefore, instead of cursing our persecutors, we must bless them and rejoice to share in the sufferings of Christ. Dear beloved, are you being persecuted in any way? What are you doing to overcome it? Share your thoughts here!

OCTOBER TOUCH (PART 2)
Title : God Is Nigh
"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18"
Devotion : God has laid down a principle for Himself regarding whom to walk with and be close to. He said He will be close to a person who is of a broken heart and a contrite spirit. A broken heart is a heart of meekness, a life of continual humility. A contrite spirit is a heart that shows remorse for sins. These two qualities are very essential to God; therefore, a Christian who seeks to hear the voice of God or to be close to God must yearn to develop a meek heart and contrite spirit. Dear beloved, do you have these two qualities God desires from you? Share your comments here! Lrts help one another to grow.

........ July Special........
TITLE : CONSIDERING ONE ANOTHER.
Text:"Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Ephesians 5:21"
TALK : The only condition given to submission is that it should be done showing reverence to God. Some people submit to status or personality while others do so out of fear of personality. These do not satisfy God's requirements. Submitting to one another in the fear of God promotes respect, peace, joy, love, and unity. Do you have difficulty submitting to someone? Or any contribution regarding our topic for the week? Please Share your reasons with us!
