TOPIC: REQUIREMENTS TO ENJOY DIVINE DIRECTION AND GUIDANCE (6)

TEXT: For we walk by faith, not by sight: (2 CORINTHIANS 5:7, KJV).

POINT FOR MEDITATION: Follow Divine direction is an adventure of faith, not sight 🤔

Another non-negotiable requirement for accessing Divine direction and guidance is faith. Christianity as a whole is all about faith. You cannot be a Christian without faith; neither can you follow God's direction without faith (Hebrews 11:6).

Faith is needed in order to be directed and led by God. Divine direction is for those who will trust God to lead them aright and not for those who walk by sight. To even think of seeking the face of God for Divine direction is a function of faith. Following Divine direction is an adventure of faith and not of sight.

It is faith based on the integrity of God's Word that qualifies us for Divine direction. This faith can only be possible by feasting and meditating on God's Word. Without the Word there will be no faith to guarantee Divine direction. " The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters" (PSALMS 29:3, KJV).

The waters in the above scripture is translated 'the Word'. In other words, Divine direction is in the Word, but it takes faith to access it. It takes faith in the Word to hear God's voice from the Word. God cannot direct you when you don't believe His Word. Until you believe God's Word, you will lack faith to enjoy Divine direction and guidance (1 Samuel 3:21).

God's Word builds faith, and faith fuels Divine direction. By implication, no Word equals no faith, and no faith equals no Divine direction and guidance (Proverbs 6:20-22).

WORD OF ADVISE:
Settle on the Word until you develop enough faith that guarantees Divine direction and guidance.

ACTION STEP:
Begin to consciously build your faith through God's Word in order to enjoy Divine direction and guidance for your life and destiny.

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for your Word today. I receive grace to build up faith through your Word in order to enjoy Divine direction and guidance, LORD, in Jesus' Name - Amen.

Introduction

* A genuine love for God extends beyond mere words; it demands a tangible demonstration of devotion.

* To love God with every fiber of your being - spirit, soul, and body - is to engage in an intimate, unwavering relationship with Him, characterized by loyalty, sincerity, and dedicated service.

* God dwells within the spirit of humanity.

* The soul encompasses our mind, will, and emotions.

* A fragmented love for God hinders authentic service to Him.

Why Does God Desire Humanity's Holistic Love and Service?

* Because of the unified nature and operation of the Trinity.

* God is a spirit, and He seeks to connect with humanity on a spiritual level (John 4:23-24).

* God examines the heart and intentions of humanity.

* God is a jealous God, desiring exclusive devotion from His people (Exo 20:5, 34:14).

* Humanity is a tripartite being, comprising spirit, soul, and body.

The Design of Humanity's Worship

The Body (Flesh)

* It serves as the earthly dwelling place that enables the soul and spirit to express themselves.

* It facilitates humanity's physical service to God.

* It carries out the desires of the spirit and the decisions of the soul.

The Soul (Psyche)

* It encompasses humanity's thinking faculty, comprising the mind, will, intellect, and emotions.

* It is susceptible to spiritual attacks.

* The soul often finds itself in conflict with the spirit.

* It acts as an intermediary between the spirit and the body.

* It constantly faces the challenge of choosing between the spirit and the flesh.

The Spirit (Pneuma)

* It embodies the spiritual heart that defines humanity's true identity.

* The spirit resides within the heart of humanity.

* The conclusions of the soul are stored in the spirit.

* God interacts with the heart of man.

* Satan is after the heart of man, but does so by corrupting the soul.

* The spirit of the regenerated is controlled by the Holy Spirit.
