MAMA ODOGWU ALUTA'S BURIAL CEREMONY MAKES HEADLINES

Thousands of dignitaries, businessmen, and celebrities converged on Aguleri last Saturday for the burial ceremony of Dr Innocent Chidumebi Okonkwo's mother, Late Iyom Ugomma Okonkwo. The event, one of the largest in Omabala area's history, saw an impressive turnout of who-is-who in Igbo land.

The ceremony, held at Ama Ivite square, drew guests from as far as Portugal, China, and Canada, including Singapore Lounge CEO, Base 1 global logistics ltd, Tony Moore Nigeria LTD. Over 150 vehicles made up the convoy from the Mortuary, with the co**se conveyed in a about N4m Charlote ambulance.

The burial venue, located along Dr Innocent Okonkwo Road, was transformed with decorations and photos of the deceased. The whole field was covered with rugs.

Entertainment was provided by Ikem Mazeli, Chibuzo Amanuke, and Chisco Umueri, among others.

An estimated 3,000 guests attended the event, making it a memorable occasion in Aguleri's history.
