PUBLIC NOTICE - READ OFFICIAL CIRCULAR AS ATTACHED.

ALL SCHOOLS AND PUBLIC FACILITIES IN DUNUKOFIA LGA TO COMPLY AND PUT AN END TO THE UNLAWFUL MONDAY SIT-AT-HOME

The Dunukofia Local Government Council wishes to draw the attention of all public and private schools, and other public institutions within Dunukofia Local Government Area to the need for full and total compliance with normal official activities every Monday.

Despite repeated sensitisation efforts through community announcements, churches, and other public channels, it has been observed that some schools and public facilities still engage in the unlawful Monday sit-at-home, in clear violation of government directives and the laws of Anambra State.

Be informed that:

Monday is a normal working and school day in Anambra State.
Any form of closure, withdrawal of services, or non-attendance on Mondays is illegal and unacceptable. Students or pupils who absent selves from school on Mondays risk suspension from school or demotion from class.

Heads of schools and managers of public facilities will be held personally accountable for non-compliance. Relevant authorities have been directed to monitor, enforce compliance, and apply appropriate sanctions where necessary. All institutions are therefore mandated to open fully and operate normally every Monday without exception.

The Dunukofia Local Government Administration remains committed to protecting lives and property while ensuring that governance, education, and public services are not disrupted.

Let us work together to restore normalcy and promote peace, progress, and development in Dunukofia.

By Order of the Dunukofia Local Government Council.
