People were shocked after a teenage boy was found hiding inside the wheel of an Arik Air plane that flew from Benin City to Lagos.

Many are asking what could make a young boy take such a big risk.

When the plane landed at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, the boy suddenly came out from the wheel area, surprising everyone.

Arik Air security quickly arrested him and handed him over to officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). It is believed the boy entered the wheel area before the plane took off from Benin.

Before takeoff, the pilot had already informed the control tower that he saw a strange boy in the bush near the runway. The control tower told him that security officers were going to handle it and cleared the plane for takeoff.

Some passengers said they heard a loud sound during takeoff, like the plane ran over something, which made them afraid.

The Managing Director of Arik Air, Chris Ndulue, said the incident shows there are serious security problems at the airport. He called on FAAN to fix it quickly.

Reports also say the boy may have entered the airport through a place without proper fencing.

Some people believe the boy might have thought the plane was going overseas, which could explain why he took such a dangerous risk.

Nawaa oh… it’s like everybody just wants to run away from Nigeria.

One passenger said the situation is very dangerous. If the boy had carried something harmful, it could have caused a serious disaster.

This incident shows that airport security needs to be improved.
