You may like Sowore or disagree with him for various reasons, but one thing that cannot be denied is that he has consistently paid the price for his activism. His encounters with detèñtion and imþŕìsòñment are well known, and you can hardly mention five genuine activists in Nigeria without including his name.
Sowore has remained remarkably fearless, consistently speaking against government actions without ìñtimìdation or compromise. Regardless of political differences, his right to liberty and fair treatment should be respected.
I join countless others in calling for the immediate release of Sowore.

Okowa returns to EFCC over N1.3trn probe

Former Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, was sighted on Monday at the Lagos Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi.

According to top sources within the commission, Okowa’s visit is connected to the EFCC’s ongoing investigation into the alleged diversion of N1.3 trillion in 13 per cent derivation funds from the Federation Account between 2015 and 2023.
