Topic: Faithful steward of God
Text : 1 pet 4:10-11
If you have ever been responsible for something be it a group, organisation etc then you are a steward
the word “steward” is rooted in the Greek word “oikonomos,” which means “the manager of a household."

Who is a steward?
a steward is someone who is charged with the responsibility of managing a certain thing on behalf of the owner. At no point should a steward take the place of the owner . a steward is only a caretaker on behalf of the owner.

Today we want to look at steward from a more personal angle. As everyone here is a steward one way or the other, i know this because God has deposited something in us which he expects us to take care of and also use them for his glory.(ROM 12:6), 1cor 12:7.28, the Bible call us children of light eph 5:7 that is light is a gift deposited in us with the commandment that we should shine before everyone (matt 5:16). Even salvation itself is a gift (eph 2:8)

Attributes of faithful stewards
Looking at jesus as the perfect example of a faithful steward

(3) utilizes these resources in accordance with God’s will, not one’s own will

Benefits of faithful stewards(matt 25:14-30)
Others include

Eternal life good success (josh 1:8)
Good health and prosperity 3john 2

steward checklist

How much of my time do I set aside for God everyday?

What is my motivation for using my talent, gift offering my service? Recognition or reward

Do I think about God and my service to him first before making any decision

Have I used my God given talent for God or personal gain?

I'll conclude by saying as a steward of God, your only mission is pleasing the master with his best interest at heart. As Christian everything we do must reflect God and much be traceable to kingdom advancement, anything outside this is self centeredness. What do I mean? As minor as if your profession doesn't reflect on kingdom advancement then you are on the wrong path. Because we are created for his pleasure.

The Heart of Your Life
“Put your hands into your chest and feel hearts beat,” said
the preacher, “…so long as your heart is beating, there is
hope for a better life.” Everyone nodded in agreement but
four-year-old Margaret had an anxious look on her face.
“Margaret, why, is anything wrong?” asked the preacher, “I
don’t have a heart!” Said Margaret. “Impossible Margaret,
everyone has a heart,” insisted the preacher. Everyone burst
out in laughter. “But why is my heart not beating? Asked
Margaret who was wearing a heavy winter cardigan over her
dress. “Put your hand through your cardigan on to your left
breast,” her mother intervened. A beautiful smile shot
across Margaret’s face as she counted her pulse. Later
Margaret said to her uncle, “I had a heart all the time and I
did not know!”
Purpose is like a heart; until you search it out, you never
know you have one. “In the hearts of all mankind, of
whatever race or station in life, there are inexpressible
longings for something they do not now possess. This
longing is implanted in the very constitution of man by a
merciful God, that man may not be satisfied with his present
conditions or attainments, whether bad, or good, or better.
God desires that the human shall seek the best, and find it
to the eternal blessing of his soul.”
Can you feel your purpose beating in your life? There is
nothing more burdening than walking at an uncertain pace.
There is no race more difficult than chasing after the wind.
God wants you to discover a firm purpose in your life that is
why He has given you desires that won’t go away. It is these
desires that make every child want to grow, students look
forward to completion, young people look forward to
marriage and the married look forward to birth and so on.
This never ending journey finally comes to a fulfilment at
the feet of Jesus where you will discover your life’s purpose.

Put a frog into a vessel of water and start heating the water.
As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog
adjust its body temperature accordingly.
The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the
increasing temperature of the water.
Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog
cannot adjust anymore.
At this point the frog decides to jump out.
The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has
lost all its strenght in adjusting with the rising water
temperature.
Very soon the frog dies.
What killed the frog?
Think about it.
I know many of us will say is the boiling water.
But the truth about what killed the frog was it's own inability
to decide when to jump out......
We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need
to be sure when we have to adjust & when we need to move
on.
There are times when we need to face the situation and take
appropriate actions.....
If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionhally,
financially or mentally they will continue to do so.
Let us decide when to jump,
Let's jump while we still have the strength and not when are
are tired-out. Gud evening frnds. Hop ur day was gud?
